Search Your Business. Ask AI. Find the Gaps. One way I check the growth of Simply Sansu is surprisingly simple: I search for it myself. I type “Simply Sansu” into search engines and check what appears. I also search for my brand and name on AI platforms to understand what they know about me and my business. This is not about vanity searching. It is about finding gaps. I Check What Search Engines Show When I search for Simply Sansu, I look at: Which pages appear Whether my website is easy to find Other websites mentioning the brand The information available about my business What could be improved It gives me an outside view of my digital presence. Then I Ask AI I also check AI platforms by asking questions such as: What is Simply Sansu? Who is Sansu Abraham? What does Simply Sansu do? I check whether the brand is mentioned, how it is described, and whether the information is accurate. Sometimes, I also test relevant industry queries to see whether Simply Sansu appears as part of the answer. This helps me understand my visibility beyond traditional search. I Look for What Is Missing The most useful part is not always seeing my brand mentioned. It is finding where it isn't mentioned. If my website appears but there are few third-party mentions, that tells me something. If AI understands my brand name but not my services, that tells me something too. Every gap can point towards an area to improve, whether that means better content, stronger SEO, more Digital PR or building a wider online presence. What Do You Do With the Gaps? The gaps tell you what to work on. Not showing up for your services? → Improve relevant website content and SEO. Very few third-party mentions? → Focus on Digital PR and brand visibility. AI gives inaccurate information? → Create clearer, authoritative information about your business online. Not appearing in relevant industry searches? → Build content and authority around those topics. I don't use this alone to measure growth. Traffic, leads and conversions matter too. But this gives me a simple outside perspective. Search your business. Ask AI. Find the gaps. Then work on them. Search Is Part of My Research I don't rely on this alone to measure growth. Analytics, traffic, rankings, and conversions matter. But searching for my own business gives me another useful perspective. What does someone find when they search for my brand? And increasingly: What does AI know about my business? Sometimes, the simplest search can show you exactly what you need to work on next.
