Marketing Calendar 2026: The Dates I Use to Plan Better Content

Coming up with content ideas every day can get tiring.

Sometimes you have a great idea. Sometimes you stare at a blank screen wondering what to post next. And then there are those days when you suddenly realize that an important holiday, awareness day, or seasonal opportunity is tomorrow.

That is exactly why I started putting important marketing dates in one place.

Why I Created a Marketing Calendar

As someone who works in digital marketing, SEO, and Digital PR, I often look at dates from a content opportunity perspective.

A holiday can become a social media post.
An awareness day can become a blog topic.
A shopping date can become a campaign.
An industry event can even become a PR opportunity.

But these ideas work much better when you spot them early.

I wanted a simple calendar where I could look at the year, see what was coming up, and decide which dates were actually useful for my content.

So I created the Simply Sansu Marketing Calendar 2026.

What Is Included?

The calendar brings together different types of dates that marketers and content creators may want to keep an eye on, including:

  • Holidays and observances
  • Awareness days
  • Social media days
  • Shopping and retail dates
  • Seasonal occasions
  • Marketing opportunities
  • Dates that can inspire content or PR ideas

Of course, you don’t need to use every date.

That’s actually the point.

Choose the ones that make sense for your business and your audience.

How I Would Use It

I usually wouldn’t sit down and research an entire year of content in one go.

Instead, I’d look at the next month and ask:

What dates are relevant to my audience?

Then I would turn those dates into possible content ideas.

For example, one date could give you an idea for a:

Blog post → LinkedIn post → Instagram post → Email → PR pitch

You don’t have to create something for every occasion. A relevant date is useful only when you can connect it naturally to what you do.

Add the Calendar to Your Planning Routine

I built the calendar to be something you can return to throughout the year.

At the beginning of each month, take a few minutes to look ahead. Pick the dates that are relevant, add them to your content plan, and start preparing before the deadline gets close.

A little planning can make content creation feel much less rushed.

I’ve added the interactive calendar to Simply Sansu so you can browse the dates throughout the year.

I’ll also be refining and expanding it as I find more useful dates and opportunities.

Final Thought

A marketing calendar isn’t meant to tell you what to post.

It’s simply a place to look when you need an idea.

Sometimes, one relevant date is all you need to turn a quiet content week into a useful one.
