Complete Freedom to Design My WordPress.org Website
While making a choice to create my own personal site, there were several factors that needed consideration. In addition to the necessity for an attractive design and user-friendly interface, I required a tool that would give me maximum creative flexibility.
First of all, my website is not merely a digital page but rather an embodiment of me. Hence, I do not view it as one more site among thousands of other sites found on the Internet. Rather, what I required was some place where I could be creative. It was important for me to select something through which I could have complete control over anything related to the site.
Flexibility Without Limitations
One of the reasons behind opting for WordPress.org is its flexibility. I can manage my blog as per my own wishes. There are no limits to how I can customize any particular page on my blog. Whatever it may be, adding different sections, applying different styles, or creating different animations/layouts, I can try out all sorts of things.
I also really appreciated the fact that I am the total owner of my website, meaning that my content, my design, my files, and even my ideas belong to me only. As opposed to numerous website builders that lock their users in a specific environment, WordPress.org allows its users more freedom. It does not matter what hosting, what plugins, or even what theme you choose , you will be totally independent.
Full Control Over Customization
Another very important advantage of using WordPress.org was the possibility to use custom HTML and custom CSS. Some things might become possible through editing only, and there is nothing better than being able to create your own custom design with just a few simple touches.
For design purposes, I used Elementor, which significantly simplified and facilitated the process. With Elementor, one does not have to code anymore, as all the editing can be done visually, through dragging-and-dropping and making edits in real-time. Elementor offered me creative freedom within the framework of website development but still left an opportunity for further customization of the design if needed. In general, WordPress.org combined with Elementor made my design process easy and convenient.
A very helpful feature for me is that WordPress.org offers a wide range of plugins, which will enable me to optimize my site according to SEO requirements, add various types of functionality, protect my site using advanced security tools, and much more. As the core subject matter revolves around digital marketing and branding, I am sure that this blog tool will definitely lead me towards success.
WooCommerce and Future Scalability
It is also easy to integrate WordPress with the popular shopping cart system called WooCommerce. In case I wish to take my website to another level, such as making it an online store or selling products or photography or any other service, there will be no need to start anew.
It was very liberating building Simply Sansu using WordPress.org as opposed to using a constrained builder. This allowed me to use creativity, branding, and even blogging on the same platform with full ownership of the website.
WordPress.org was used not just for Simply Sansu but for my other two platforms, iClick Stories and Sansu Blogs. The function and direction of each site were distinct; however, WordPress provided me with all the freedom needed to craft each according to its uniqueness. From managing layout and blog creation to SEO and customization using various plugins, WordPress.org offered everything I needed to have full control over each platform that I had built. The use of Elementor, in addition to custom HTML and CSS, was helpful in building a unique website tailored to each site’s needs.
